From west side of the state to the east side ...

I was editing some shots I still had in my camera; a couple from Birch Bay, and a few from Fairhaven. I'm uploading them to catch up with my Project 365.

Tomorrow I start with Spokane, WA daily photographs.

Same o' Project 365

It rained this morning, but the sun came out this afternoon and it's lovely enough to take Suki out for a walk on the tideflats. Hooray!

I spoke with my elder son this morning, speaking of photographs. I came across a soccer photo of Paul when he was about 5. It was so cute. I had forgotten how adorable he was at that age. I'm going to mail it off to him so his son, Cole, can see what his dad looked like at almost the same age. Cole is 3. Photographs are such fun!

Today's photograph is fun, too, even though it isn't of anyone's son. I have a chronic fascination with things in the road, and have a most enjoyable series of "Street Art" to which I keep adding images. I like the little bit of blue offsetting the white and gray/black of the asphalt street.

Walkabout in Fairhaven and Project 365

Well, here's my dilemma. While walking around Fairhaven this morning, I took a couple of photographs that tickle me, and because they are so freshly captured, I'm at a loss as to which to use for today's photograph.

I won't squeeze in all of them, but these four particularly please me. A couple of them have been edited with a film grain filter. I'm having a love affair with this filter. I'm sure it will soon run it's course and then I'll be off on another technique. But for the time being, I'm using the film grain.

Etsy Site Update

This morning I checked my Etsy shop http://www.kweststudio8.etsy.com/ and found my photograph "Thorns on the Beach" was included in an Etsy Treasury yesterday. Unlikely candidate for a treasury, methought, but it just goes to show there are other "thorny" sorts out there!   Love and Thorns is the name of the Treasury.

I've been pleased with how many times my photographs have been included in these ongoing and ever changing Treasuries.

However, while on the site, I checked how many times each of my photographs had been viewed and it amazed me that a photograph I had snapped of a tree limb chair in front of A Lot of Flowers in Fairhaven, WA has been viewed about 8 TIMES more frequently than most of the other photographs I've presented. By far it has been viewed more often. I'm certain it is the title I gave the photograph that prompted the views: Hobbit Chair. Just goes to show how important a title might be, eh?
